Censuswide research tested public understanding of the current “climate emergency” called by Scotland’s First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon.

Outcome

The Scottish CO2 emissions survey demonstrated clear gaps in public understanding around the causes of emissions. And although the public wanted to take action and change lifestyles, many cited education barriers. With calls for a streamlined information channel, the government’s role was clear.

Our work was covered in The Scotsman, The Herald, The Sun, The Press and Journal, The Courier and Daily Record. Another boost came when the Scottish Green Party publicly backed the results.
